From High School to Beauty School

The end of the school year is coming which means we have a new batch of graduates! Before we start, we want to congratulate the high school graduates of 2018! You have worked hard and now you are free to pursue your passions! If you’re anything like us, your passion lies in beauty. Step 1: Find Your Interest

In the world of beauty, there are so many different skills to perfect and careers to pursue. You can work on becoming an esthetician, a makeup artist, or a cosmetologist. All have wonderful skills that you can have to opportunity to excel in.

If you’re interested in makeup, here are a few skills you could learn:

If you’re in love with the idea of doing hair, here are a few skills to master:

Step 2: Find Your School

There are hundreds of cosmetology schools to choose from to gain your education in beauty. It is important to find a school that fits your vision, passion, dreams, and schedule. After researching the schools around you, we highly suggest taking a tour of the schools that catch your interest so you can catch a glimpse of what your future might look like. Step 3: Get to Work!

Now that you have your school of choice, it’s time to start working on obtaining your license. After completing the minimum number of hours required by the state of Texas you are required to apply for a license by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The last and final step is to pass the written and practical state exam. This may all seem like a lot of work but nothing good comes to those that don’t fight hard for it!
